All-Solid Mahogany Construction

Developed in accordance with recent acoustic guitar market trends, this model features not only mahogany back and sides but mahogany top as well. Darker sounding than spruce, mahogany produces a warmer tone with a full and rich mid-range. As with the finest acoustic guitars, the tonewoods are all-solid – meaning that no laminates are used for the top, back or sides. The result is a guitar which will mature with time and playing, making ownership a journey of improvement for both the guitarist and guitar.

OM Cutaway Body Shape

The Core OC Mahogany has a compact OM body, ideal for players with a small body frame or seeking playing comfort. The bright and stronger high-midrange emphasis rewards intricate playing styles. The Venetian cutaway on this model allows easy access to the high frets.

Bone Nut & Saddle, Ovangkol Fretboard, Mahogany Neck, Open Pore Finish

The Cort Core-OC Mahogany’s nut and saddle are both crafted from water buffalo bone for the most natural and transparent transfer of string vibrational energy into the body and neck. Known as a great overall tone wood, Ovangkol shares similar tone characteristics as Rosewood with a warm and slightly fuller midrange. The combination of Ovangkol fretboard with Mahogany neck produces a warmer mixture of balanced tone with deep sustain. The open pore finish not only enhances the resonance of the woods but it also reduces the weight of the guitar for improved playability.

Fishman® Sonicore / Sonitone Pickup system

Installed internally without cutting out any of the woods, the Sonitone EQ system retains all the natural resonance and the pure acoustic sound so prized in an acoustic guitar. The controls are simple and intuitive to use, with Volume and Tone controls accessible from the sound hole. An internally-mounted battery pack maintains the discreet look.

Deluxe Soft-Side Case
